Yujin Liu
Yujin Liu is a Geophysical Consultant at Saudi Aramco’s Beijing Research Center, where he leads 10+ cutting-edge R&D projects across high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, advanced sensing, and sustainable geophysics. He earned both his B.Sc. and Ph.D. in Geophysics from China University of Petroleum (East China). As a recipient of China Scholarship Council Fellowship, he conducted research at Rice University as a member of The Rice Inverse Project (TRIP).
Dr. Liu’s research centers on next-generation seismic imaging, inversion, and monitoring technologies, including real-time, passive, and AI-driven methods. As of 2025, he has authored 60+ journal and conference publications, holds 10+ international patents, and has received 10+ international and corporate honors, including 2018 E&P Special Meritorious Award for Engineering Innovation, 2019 SPE Northern Asia Pacific Regional Technical Award-Drilling Engineering, Saudi Aramco EXPEC ARC Creative Project Award (2018) and Collaboration Award (2024). Additionally, he serves on the SEG China Advisory Committee and the Oil & Gas Geophysics Committee of the Chinese Geophysical Society, contributing actively to both local and global geophysical communities.
